Miss Potter Coming Soon To Theaters (TBS)

The life of Beatrix Potter, author of many classic children’s books including The Tale of Peter Rabbit, is coming to the big screen. Miss Potter stars Renée Zellweger as Beatrix Potter and Ewan McGregor as her friend Norman Warne. I’ve seen the trailer, and it looks like I need to see this one. There are all kinds of films arriving in 2007 that I need to see. Looks like I need to make it a New Year’s Resolution to get out to the cinema more often. Miss Potter is due in theaters worldwide on January 12, 2007. It’s rated PG, by the way. This makes me want to read some of her books again. Watch the trailer, and you will feel the same way.

The Tuesday List (TBS)

Well, what with the holidays and everything, I haven’t had much time to read. Hopefully things will calm down now. In any case, here is my current list.

Nancy Drew’s Guide to Life by Jennifer Worick – A cute little advice book. (When I say “little” I mean a couple of inches tall.)

Doctor Who: Aliens and Enemies by Justin Richards – Fabulous so far. I love informational books about television shows.

Bad Kitty by Michele Jaffe – I’ve only managed to read one more page of this very entertaining mystery with footnotes.

Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story by Nobuhiro Watsuki – I’m just beginning number 20. See? Not even enough time to read manga. Only eight volumes left in the series.

Well, there you go. With any luck, I’ll even manage to get a few reviews in this week. Happy New Year!

The Books I Got For Christmas…(TBS)

Well, I finally have all of my Christmas Presents (I think) and I’ve spent my Border’s Gift Card. So, I thought that I would share my book haul with you. Yes, you are likely to see these on a Tuesday List soon.

Nancy Drew’s Guide to Life by Jennifer Worick is a tiny book featuring a bookmark with a small magnifying glass on its end. It features various pieces of advice from the classic Nancy Drew Series.

The Celtic Heroic Age edited by John T. Koch was on my Christmas list and is a dead giveaway what I want to get a Celtic Studies degree.

The Adventure of English: The Biography of a Language by Melvyn Bragg is the companion volume to the History Channel series.

Doctor Who: Aliens and Enemies by Justin Richards I purchased with my Border’s Gift Card. I bought this one largely because I already had all of the other Doctor Who books there. Also, it looked really cool.

So, there you are. My Christmas books for the year.
Have a Happy New Year!!!!
