On Her Majesty’s Secret Tuesday List

Welcome to this week’s Tuesday List. This week, the Tuesday List seems to be some royal secret. (*Shhhh!* Don’t tell anyone that I’m the Queen of Merevia.)

In sad news this week…my laptop died. This means that I had to kick my husband off of his computer to post this. Eeek. Oh, well. Apparently he should have the new hard drive installed soon. (Thanks, Honey!)

The next Cover to Cover book is Sabriel by Garth Nix, so please join me for a discussion of this book on July 13, 2007. You have an extra week to get through the book this time as I am actually taking a wee vacation next week. If you have suggestions for books that you would like to see discussed in a future Cover to Cover, feel free to comment any time with your titles. The third A Book By Any Other Name challenge continues this week. The goal is even higher this time around. If you wish to participate, just take a look at Monday’s post.

Have you been reading anything interesting lately? Please comment and let me know. And now, my current list:

Sabriel by Garth Nix – This is the book for the next Cover to Cover. I love this dark Fantasy.

But Excuse Me That is My Book by Lauren Child – A picture book that I saw at work today. I looks good.

Collected Poems by T. S. Elliot – Some of his poems are really quite extraordinary. And they used one of them on an episode of Doctor Who!

British English A to Zed by Norman W. Schur – This one is quite entertaining.

Doctor Who: The Inside Story by Gary Russell – I read a whole two chapters after my laptop died.

Oh, hey! I would like to remind you all that The Book Stacks is up for a Blogger’s Choice Award, so if you would be so kind as to pop along and vote for me, I’d be much obliged.

The Forbidden Tuesday List

Welcome to this week’sTuesday List. If it’s forbidden, shouldn’t reading it give you some sort of naughty thrill? No? Oh, well. I tried.

The next Cover to Cover book is The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, so please join me for a discussion of this book on June 22, 2007 (that’s this Friday.) If you have suggestions for books that you would like to see discussed in a future Cover to Cover, feel free to comment any time with your titles. Another A Book By Any Other Name challenge has begun this week. The goal is even higher this time around. If you wish to participate, just take a look at Monday’s post.

Have you been reading anything interesting lately? Please comment and let me know. And now, my current list:

The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde – This is the book for the next Cover to Cover. It’s quite interesting so far.

Collected Poems by T. S. Elliot – Some of his poems are really quite extraordinary.

British English A to Zed by Norman W. Schur – *grin*

Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time: A Reader’s Companion edited by Stephen Hawking – I managed a whole few more pages this week.

Doctor Who: The Inside Story by Gary Russell – So very sonic.

I’ve been tagged with meme-y Goodness

Well, alright then. Sorry for the lack of posts, but things have been insane lately. I’m still not pregnant (sigh), but on the bright side, we’re going to start getting some tests done soon. Anyway, Elisa over at The Book Stacks has tagged me in this meme where I must post 7 random things about myself. Okay, Elisa. You want random, do you?

1. If I had an animal totem, it would be a fox

2. My favorite tea is Mint with lemon and honey

3. One of my biggest dreams has always been to travel to Mars.

4. My favorite TV Show is Doctor Who

5. I hate Ironing

6. I *really* don’t like ants

7. I know what my name is backwards, and I have fun doing the same with other people’s names

So…there you go. Randomness.

I Tag:
Everyone who reads this…’cause I don’t really like chain letters, so I’m not going to require anyone to do this. But if you want to, be sure to comment me with the link.

The rules:

Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to then report this on their own blog with their 7 things as well as these rules. They then need to tag 7 others and list their names on their blog. They are also asked to leave a comment for each of the tagged, letting them know they have been tagged and to read the blog.

The Tuesday List From The Black Lagoon

Welcome to this week’sTuesday List. It’s not quite as creepy as the title might suggest. Honestly. You can come out from behind the sofa now.

To begin with, this week, I would like to remind you all that The Book Stacks is up for a Blogger’s Choice Award, so if you would be so kind as to pop along and vote for me, I’d be much obliged. The next Cover to Cover book is The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde, so please join me for a discussion of this book on June 22, 2007 (that’s a week from Friday.) If you have suggestions for books that you would like to see discussed in a future Cover to Cover, feel free to comment anytime with your titles. My second A Book By Any Other Name challenge has begun this week. The goal is a bit higher this time around. If you wish to participate, just take a look at Monday’s post. Well, that’s enough site news for now.

Have you been reading anything interesting lately? Comment and let me know. And now, my current list:

The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde – This is the book for the next Cover to Cover. It’s quite interesting so far.

Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time: A Reader’s Companion edited by Stephen Hawking – I’m making slow progress, but that’s better than no progress.

Doctor Who: The Inside Story by Gary Russell – I love informational books about TV Shows.

I hope that I have some time to read this week…

Monty Python and the Tuesday List

Welcome to this week’sTuesday List. I feel the sudden need to dig out my Monty Python script books for some reason. Hmmm…why could that be? *grin* Anyway, don’t forget that the next Cover to Cover book is Mars Needs Moms! by Berkeley Breathed and we will be discussing it this Friday (June 8). I am also accepting suggestions for the next book. If no one speaks up, I will go to my back up list of Fantasy books. My A Book By Any Other Name challenge has finally ended this week. All in one day, in fact. Stop by Saturday to see my forfeit: a poem I wrote in High School. Keep an eye out for the next challenge.

Have you been reading anything interesting lately? Comment and let me know. And now, my current list:

Mars Needs Moms! by Berkeley Breathed – This is the book for the next Cover to Cover. I quite enjoyed it.

Stephen Hawking’s A Brief History of Time: A Reader’s Companion edited by Stephen Hawking – Quite a nice little book.

Doctor Who: The Inside Story by Gary Russell – I read a whole chapter more. Now I know that Christopher Eccleston only ever signed up for one series.

If you have suggestions for Cover to Cover, please let me know. I *will* expect you to participate if we use the suggestion, though.
