102.6

Today was…interesting. My temperture is a yo-yo, apparently. It went all the way up to 102.6 before dropping back down again.

I’m still alive, just so you know. My sweetie went to the store and got me much juice and soup. I’m gonna keep him.

And now, off to sleep with me. Night all.

102

newteapot.jpg

I woke up this morning, and I felt like someone had dropped a ton of bricks on me. I felt fine last night. Just a bit of a tickle in my nose and some coughing. Now I have a fever of 102. (I’m hot blooded, check it and see…almost.) Usually, I feel bad in the morning, feel a bit better during the day, and the bad again in the evening.

Not this time. I keep feeling worse. Apparently, I have “what’s going around.” Sigh. I called and whined at my Dad and then my Mummy called to be whined at, so I feel a bit better mentally.

Now I just need to find some soup with no MSG in it, and some tea. (Koshvader was kind enough to fetch me some Indian food so I could have some Chai.)

Bitch. Moan. Complain. I want my brain to go back to working properly.

Today’s Newsfeed

Vast Antarctic Ice Shelf on Verge of Collapse

Government benefit programs in trouble

…And I will persist in using a toaster oven that is a bit too high up to easily reach, and taking out items that I’ve toasted with my bare hands. Today, I even manged to brush against the heating element while reaching for the last of my fries. One tiny flash of smoke later, I have a wee burn on my hand that doesn’t even hurt. Good thing my hands aren’t hairy.

I’ve tried 1 new tea.

pomgreentea.jpg

This evening I managed to have dinner with my Husband during my dinner break. While I was there, I managed to work on my list a little bit. That’s right. As per: “81. Try 5 new kinds of tea.” I have now tried Pomegranate Green Tea by Republic of Tea.

My reaction: I liked it. It’s a bit sweet, but not in a Jasmine kind of way. I’d certainly try it again.

Right. Four more to go!

A Moment of Amusement

We just walked in after going out to find food, as my blood sugar randomly crashed in an unusual way earlier. (long story)

I was in the kitchen putting the leftovers away when Koshvader calls from the other room:

“Are you done with the stuff on the thing?”

I burst out laughing. I had no idea that my husband spoke femme. Mind you, I suppose he’d have too, since he was always that one guy in the girl group in school. (I was the one girl in the guy group, just so we’re all on the same page.) He told me, as I snickered, that it was only fair as I should be used to that sort of thing. I do it all the time to him. The scary part here, as he so rightly pointed out, is that I did know what he was talking about.

Yes, I was done with the dishes on the box. So, I put them away.

40. Get Life Insurance for the Hubby.

And I have already crossed something off of my list! Koshvader officially has life insurance. Finally. I’ve been trying to drag him over there to fill out paperwork for several months now. I’ve had insurance for over a year, so it’s only fair. We also got rental insurance so that I can call the annoying people who re-upped me without asking last year and tell them where they can put their cut-rate insurance policy.

Right. 100 things left to go.

They’re messing with my Film/Book again!!!

According to SciFi Wire, Disney is making yet another attempt to re-imagine “Escape to Witch Mountain.” You’d have thought that the last attempt (the purple monstrosity) would have cured them of this, but no. “Race to Witch Mountain” is described thusly:

“Andy Fickman is on board to direct what is described as an action thriller, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and AnnaSophia Robb. The adaptation, written by Matt Lopez, revolves around a pair of paranormal-powered siblings (Ludwig and Robb) who, with the help of a Las Vegas cab driver (Johnson), go on the run from a diabolical group of men who wish to exploit their abilities. Hinds will play the nefarious leader of the pack.”

Argh! Did they even read the book or are they working from the film again? …And “The Rock” is playing the Mr. O’Day character? Who’s playing Uncle Benet? Vin Diesel?

*grumble*
