Of course, you can go to an allergist even w/o life threatening problems--if you're getting shots, in fact, they keep your doses low to AVOID such problems. I went for years, though my doctor and I eventually decided it wasn't doing enough and I stopped. As for the pregnancy thing, what HAS she been smoking? If that worked, no one with allergies would have kids--hey, it could be a form of birth control! According to my doctors I have cat allergies. I have 2 cats. I also have had two kids, and no one EVER Find someone who knows what she's doing! She sounds like an idiot.
