I think that they were exaggerating. Ignore the fact that I am currently wearing my boots lined with sheepskin.

This week on T-Shirt Tuesday I have something a little extra special. My own art!

That’s right. I can’t draw cats, as you can see on the shirt above. This shirt is from a short-lived CafePress store I had. I thought it would be fun to celebrate my lack of artistic skill. I mean, why not? Anyway, I think that Party Cat is my favorite. Preferences from you lot?

In other news, it turns out that I’ve owned Celticangel.org since 31 March 2000. Wow. I ran across my original domain name registration yesterday. Can you believe that this site has been around (in one form or another) for over 10 years? It also tells us how long Koshvader and I have been together, as the domain name was a gift.

In other other news, I’m going to Atlanta for a week, so please forgive a lack of updates for a bit. Photos of my Nana’s 95th Birthday party to follow. To keep y’all a wee bit entertained in the meantime I’ve posted some videos, and a tab dump post is on it’s way.

This summer, I am going to be doing as much traveling as I possibly can. This great spate of travel begins…tomorrow. So, if you wish to follow my travels as I have them, pop by Where’s Calliope? to see what I can manage to post from my phone (I have an App!) and from my computer after a long and tiring day.

The Trips I already have planned are:

* the Kansas/Styx/Foreigner Concert (May 25)
* L.A./Disneyland/The Stinking Rose (Memorial Day Weekend…God help me)
* Atlanta (June 3-9)

Don’t worry. I’m bringing my camera, and I’ll try to get the good shots up here once I get home. In the meantime…you know where to find me.

I’m told that a “LOLrus” doesn’t actually need to be a walrus, but may also be any sort of aquatic mammal. Here is an example of this trend, using a cute otter…who is not amused.

“Fail” is the opposite of “Win.” (Remember them from the slang discussion the other day?) This caption paradigm was do popular that it spawned it’s own site – Failblog. This one has never really appealed to me. I’ve always much preferred “Win” over fail.

More recently known as “UR doin it wrong,” this caption paradigm also spawned its opposite: variations on “UR doin it right actually.” Some of these are hilarious, and others are just dumb. (Yes. Some win, some fail.) Amusingly enough, I do prefer this paradigm to the one above.

I’m just including this one to provide a bit of variety. Often LOLcats can be considered rude, crass, distressing, or just plain not funny. This one stands as proof that the opposite is also true. I like it. It’s sweet.

This is an example of the incredibly popular “Im in UR (blank) doing (blank)” caption paradigm. This one actually transcends the LOLcat genre and can be found all over the internet. This is not the first example of this sort of caption on the site, but it’s the first one that isn’t rude.

In LOLcatland, you can “has” something, you can ask “I can has?”, and you can also state that you “Want”/”Do not want” something. In this picture, we can see a cat airing his opinion of Coke Zero. This is another of the caption paradigms that has escaped the confines of LOLcatland and has invaded other forms of internet communication…and actual speech.
